1. Getting Started

1.1 Installation (Free & Paid Users)

1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New in the left sidebar.
3. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page.
4. Choose the milky-popup.zip file you downloaded.
5. Click Install Now and then click Activate Plugin.

Free users can immediately begin creating campaigns. Premium users should proceed to step 1.2 to unlock advanced tools.

1.2 Activating Your License (PRO)

To unlock all premium features (like advanced triggers, export functionality, and more), you must activate your license key.

1. After activating the plugin, a new Milky menu will appear in your WordPress sidebar.
2. Navigate to Milky → License.
3. Paste the License Key that was emailed to you upon purchasing your Pro or Agency plan.
4. Click Activate License. You will see a success message and your active plan details.

2. Dashboard & Analytics

Navigate to Milky → Dashboard to view your campaign performance.

• Basic Analytics: View your total impressions, conversions, and conversion rates across your site.
• Advanced Analytics & Export (PRO): Gain deeper insights into performance trends over time.
• Recent Subscribers: Quickly see the latest leads captured.

3. Creating & Editing Campaigns

Go to Milky → Campaigns to manage your popups. Free users can create a single active campaign, while premium users unlock Unlimited Campaigns (PRO). Click Create New Campaign to open the builder.

3.1 The Drag & Drop Builder

The Milky PopUp builder is divided into two sections:

• Left Panel (Settings): Contains all customization options organized in expandable tabs.
• Right Panel (Preview Canvas): Shows a real-time, 1:1 preview of exactly how your popup will look.

3.2 Form Fields

Under the Form Fields tab, customize what information you collect from visitors.

• Standard Fields: Add First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and a Submit Button.
• Advanced Form Fields (PRO): Add Dropdowns, Checkboxes, Date Pickers, and invisible Spam Honeypots.
• Reordering: Hover over the drag handle :: next to any field and drag it up or down to reorder.
• Customization: Modify the Label (text above the field) and Placeholder (ghost text inside the field) for every input.

3.3 Text & Typography

• Headings & Subtitles: Edit your main headline and use the rich-text editor for the subtitle (bold, italics, links).
• Google Fonts: Choose from premium web fonts (Inter, Poppins, Roboto, Montserrat, etc.).
• Alignment: Align your content to the Left, Center, or Right.

3.4 Colors, Styling & Layout

Under the Styling & Layout tab, you have total aesthetic control:

• Color Pickers: Customize Background Color, Text Color, Input Field Colors, and Button Colors.
• Side Image (2-Column Layout): Paste an image URL to instantly create a split-column layout. (On mobile, this intelligently collapses to a top-banner).
• Image-Only Mode: Upload an image and turn the entire popup into a clickable graphic with no form fields required.
• Border Radius: Adjust the slider to round the corners of your popup.
• Glassmorphism Overlay: Tweak the "Overlay Blur" slider to give the background behind the popup a modern, frosted-glass blur effect.
• Remove Branding (PRO): Hide the "Powered by Milky" badge that appears at the bottom of free popups.

3.5 Display Rules (Triggers)

Control exactly when and how your popup appears under the Display Rules tab.

Trigger Events:

• On Page Load: Shows immediately when the visitor arrives.
• Time Delay: Wait a specific number of seconds before displaying.
• Scroll Percentage (PRO): Trigger the popup when the user reads a specific percentage of the page (e.g., 50%).
• Exit Intent (PRO): Detects when a desktop user's mouse moves to close the tab and fires the popup to catch them before they leave.
• Floating Button (PRO): Places a customizable floating "trigger" button on the edge of the screen that users can click to open the popup.
• Click on CSS Class (PRO): Turn any existing button or link on your website into a popup trigger by targeting its CSS class or ID.

Animations & Positioning:

• Animations: Choose from Fade In, Slide Up, Slide Down, Bounce, and more.
• Positioning: Anchor the popup to the Center, Bottom Right, Top Left, Bottom Bar, etc.
• Frequency: Choose how often a visitor sees the popup: Every time, Once per session, or Once per week.

3.6 Page Targeting (PRO)

Under the Page Targeting tab, you can restrict your popup to only display on specific pages or posts. Select exactly which pages the popup should appear on, allowing you to run highly targeted campaigns (e.g., a specific discount only on your Pricing page).

3.7 Saving & Publishing

Click the blue Save & Publish button at the bottom of the sidebar. This button is sticky and always visible. Your popup is now live!

4. Managing Subscribers

Navigate to Milky → Subscribers to manage your captured leads.

• View Leads: See names, emails, signup dates, and the specific campaign they converted on.
• 1-Click CSV Export (PRO): Click the "Export CSV" button to instantly download your entire subscriber list for easy importing into Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, or any CRM.

5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: My popup isn't showing up on my live site?
A: Check your Display Frequency settings. If it is set to "Once per session" or "Once per week" and you have already closed it, it will not appear for you again. Test your site in an Incognito/Private Browsing window. Also, ensure you haven't excluded the page using Page Targeting (PRO).

Q: Does Milky PopUp slow down my website?
A: No! Milky PopUp uses ultra-lightweight Vanilla JavaScript on the frontend with zero heavy libraries like jQuery, ensuring blazing-fast load times.

Q: How do I upgrade from Free to Pro or Agency?
A: You can click any "PRO" locked feature in the builder to open the upgrade modal, or visit our website to purchase a license. Once purchased, enter the license key in the Milky → License tab. Your data seamlessly transitions with no downtime.
